Even despite the fact that the diagnosis was a torn ACL, still mean that and I wish Mariano Rivera the best. He means so much to us Yankees fans and he means so much to baseball. Not something that necessarily crossed any one’s - he was just doing what he does every practice session, and then this terrible accident happens. I wish him a successful recovery and that this isn’t how he ends his absolutely brilliant and storied career. A career that some of us were blessed to grow up watching, others still blessed to still see - how should I put it- do his work for a number of seasons/years…. think you guys will understand what I mean. And it is heart warming to see that even if someone isn’t a Yankees fan or doesn’t necessarily follow baseball,  that they admire him and wish him well. It’s been quite a roller coaster of a sports day for me. But anyway, get well soon, MO.

It was so moving to watch this on tv. They kept the cameras on him for a few minutes.

i cry over baseball a lot, like a lot, but this time was different. this was really, really sad to see.
